After 60 days on NMN, my patients consistently report better energy, sharper focus, and improved recovery. The NAD+ science is undeniable.
Trans-Resveratrol
A well-studied polyphenol to support healthy aging at the cellular level*
Resveratrol is a polyphenol found in red grapes that has been studied for its role in cellular health, circulation, and healthy aging. Apex Atoms Trans-Resveratrol delivers 1,000 mg of the biologically active trans form, paired with complementary polyphenols and a black pepper extract to support absorption.*
Resveratrol drew global attention after a landmark 2003 study reported that it activates sirtuins, proteins involved in cellular repair and stress response. Later studies found that it extended lifespan in roundworms and fruit flies, and in mice fed a high-fat diet. These findings launched decades of research into its potential role in healthy aging.‡ Results in animals have not been replicated in humans, and how resveratrol interacts with sirtuins is still being investigated.
The Science
Resveratrol has been studied for its influence on SIRT1, a sirtuin involved in cellular maintenance. Fasting and calorie restriction also engage SIRT1, which is why researchers sometimes describe resveratrol as a “fasting mimetic.” This idea is still under study.*
Resveratrol and quercetin are being studied for their effects on senescent cells, which linger in tissues as we age. This research is at an early stage, and most of it has been done in the lab.*
Resveratrol has been studied for its effect on endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS), an enzyme that helps maintain healthy nitric oxide levels and blood vessel relaxation. Some human studies have measured improved blood vessel dilation.*
Healthy circulation helps deliver nutrients and oxygen to tissues throughout the body, which is why resveratrol is studied across areas including cardiovascular and cognitive health.*
